Privacy & Data Notice

Dark Orchid Games collects a small amount of anonymous, aggregate data about how visitors use this site and play our games, to understand what's working and improve them. We do not require an account or collect your name, email, or any personally-identifying information to play.

What we collect

  • Site visits: when you start browsing, we generate a random identifier stored in your browser (not tied to your identity) to recognize a single visit — which page you landed on, and roughly how long you stayed. A new visit starts after a period of inactivity.
  • Game sessions: when you play one of our games, we record anonymous play data — which game, how long you played, and in-game stats like score or progress. If you play the same game more than once, the same random identifier lets us tell a new player from a returning one, so we know how many people come back.

Why

This is aggregate product analytics — understanding overall traffic and play patterns — not used to build a profile of any individual visitor. It's processed under legitimate interest, since it's anonymous and limited to what's needed for that purpose (LGPD Art. 7, IX).

How long we keep it

The random identifier that lets us recognize a returning visitor is deleted after 90 days of inactivity. The underlying play/visit statistics (scores, durations, page counts) are kept longer in aggregate form, but can no longer be tied to a specific visitor once the identifier is gone.

Analytics

We also use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand site traffic in aggregate. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google processes that data.

Your choices

Since this data isn't tied to your identity, clearing your browser's local storage (or using a private/incognito window) resets your identifier and starts you fresh as a new, unrecognized visitor.
